Attached are updated spore trap results from last week. To note there are a few traps detecting small amounts of late blight spores. These may likely stem from long distance dispersal from production areas west of Maine where field infections have been confirmed. Likely during the weather system from August 17. Though not alarming, it serves as a good reminder that spores and eventual infections are still possible out there, and growers are encouraged to remain diligent in protecting the crop. With the variable precipitation we had this week, spray intervals are likely to vary as well.
