Creamed Maine Potatoes

¼ cup butter

3 T flour

½ t salt

¼ t pepper

½ t garlic salt

1 1/2 cups very warm cream

½ cup grated cheddar cheese

4 cups sliced, cooked Maine potatoes



Melt butter. Add flour and cook for two minutes. Add seasonings. Slowly add very warm cream, stirring constantly until smooth and thick. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Pour mixture over potatoes, mixing well. Put into greased baking casserole. Sprinkle top with additional cheese and then paprika.


Bake at 350 for one hour.
