Last week the NPC filed comments with EPA that took issue with various provisions of a recent interim decision on pymetrozine. This decision could greatly limit the use of the product on potatoes.
Specifically, NPC took issue with flaws in the risk modeling used by EPA to make their decision. “If acted upon to reduce the use of pymetrozine, these flaws will result in significant negative impacts to potato growers across the United States without minimizing actual risks to the public.”
