The latest trapping results for Northern Aroostook (as of 6/26) and Central Aroostook (as of 6/24) are now available.
The presence of late blight spores appears to have diminished for most traps. This isn’t unexpected as numbers can significantly fluctuate depending on weather during the 7-day trapping period, direction of travel for storm systems that may pass through, and any preventative measures that growers may take (fungicide applications, cull burial, or desiccation of infected field areas, etc.).
Late blight protectant fungicides should remain on a 5-day reapplication schedule.
